Golf application enables millions of iPhone and iPod touch owners to access and share revolutionary scoring and professional game analysis during and after their round
Golfshot, an easy and efficient scorecard app that automatically generates tour quality statistics and allows golfers to share and compare their rounds, is now available on the Apple App Store.
Shotzoom Software, maker of Golfshot, is leveraging their developer history in creating professional statistical analysis software to bring real game statistics to amateur sports. Golfers can now score their rounds, view detailed game analysis, and share rounds with friends on the world’s most popular smartphone.
“We knew that we could provide golfers with amazing insight into their performance and provide the ability to record and share that information over time. But entering that data had to be as easy as jotting down your score when you get back to the cart,” said Laura Khailany, Vice President of Shotzoom Software. “Golfshot is designed to keep it quick, simple and fun while providing tour quality feedback to the golfer.”
Statistics and graphs available automatically to the golfer include:
- Fairways Hit, Missed Left & Right
- Greens in Regulation
- Recovery Scrambling
- Sand Saves
- Putts per Hole and per GIR
- Scoring Averages on Par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s
- Scoring Percentages
Golfshot has over 15,000 courses available in the U.S., with more available worldwide. Golfers can search for their courses at www.golfshot.com/courses and can request additional courses for free.
The Golfshot application for iPhone and iPod touch is available in the iTunes App Store on both devices or at www.itunes.com/apps/golfshot. Future upgrades will provide distance golf GPS measurements and hole-by-hole flyovers.

Got the app. No GPS, but they say on their website that they are developing it. They claim over 15,000 courses which makes it the most of any of the iPhone golf apps. The scoring is really fast to enter, much better than the maze of screens in GolfCard. I recommend the app for scoring and stats, but would like to see the GPS sooner rather than later. Then I can cancel my old Skygolf subscription

OK….I am really confused.
By looking on iTunes, it shows the yardage to bunkers to greens, etc. Is this not so?

Can this do real-time scoring amongst a group of friends playing in a tournament? I’m essentially looking for an app that has a real-time leaderboard.
