About

With well over 10,000 apps crowding the iTunes App Store, developers are scrambling to do whatever they can to get noticed. Review requests at my other site, iPhone App Reviews, have skyrocketed since the introduction of iTunes Promo Codes, and a lot of developers will never get reviewed on that site because there are just too many apps being submitted! Good problem for me, bad problem for them.

I started iPhone App Index to give all developers a fair chance to get their wares talked about, even if they’re the ones who have to do the talking. That’s what’s gonna be going on here… developers will be writing their own posts!

I know they won’t be anywhere near objective in assessing their own efforts, but at least they’ll be able to show you quite a bit more than the few screenshots they’re allowed in the iTunes App Store… they can post full screenshot galleries, video demos, press releases, and whatever else they’ve got that’s within my guidelines.

Right now, I’m only allowing iPhone app developers and their PR agencies to post application info and updates. If you’re not a developer, it will take a little time to get things going… so if there’s not much here yet please bookmark this site and check back later!

Developers, you will need to register in order to post here. Once your registration is complete, I will upgrade your registration to include posting privileges.

Also strongly recommended is that developers read the Developers page from start to finish. I plan on running a very tight ship here and anyone who tries to abuse my system will be forever banished.

iPhone App Index is currently in “beta” so please bear with me while I get the kinks worked out!
